Chrome Extension

SEOT Mindset Inc. (“SEOTpreneur,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the SEOT Extension for Google Chrome (Chrome Web Store item ID lkgenoidcopjkfgipmbpegfphjkjbhab). This Privacy Policy explains how the extension collects, uses, stores, and shares information.

This policy applies only to information handled through the SEOT Extension. Information that you separately submit to another SEOTpreneur or Self Serve Data Tool product is governed by the policy and terms for that product. Data handled by the Chrome extension is not added to the SEOTpreneur Research Database.

Privacy summary

  • Keyword, search-results, and Keyword Finder research is stored locally in your browser.
  • Product Change Log snapshots are sent to your SEOTpreneur account only when you are signed in.
  • Keyword Finder and product Search Analytics requests are made directly to Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) using your active TPT session.
  • TPT session and CSRF values are used only for requests to TPT. They are not sent to SEOTpreneur.
  • Data from the Chrome extension is not aggregated or used for generalized market research.
  • We do not sell extension user data or use it for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending decisions.

Privacy consent and operational availability

Before the extension begins its TPT page features or makes feature-related external requests, it displays a Privacy & Data Use disclosure in the extension popup and side panel. If the user selects “Not now,” the extension remains paused.

When the user agrees, the extension stores a local privacy-consent record containing the disclosure version and acceptance timestamp. This record is stored in chrome.storage.local and is not transmitted to SEOTpreneur or another external service.

After consent, the extension may contact SEOTpreneur-controlled services to retrieve operational configuration, such as whether the extension is currently available. The request does not include Google or TPT authentication credentials, Product Change Log data, or locally stored research. The last successfully validated configuration and its retrieval time are stored locally.

Information the extension handles

1. Account and authentication information

When you sign in with Google, the extension and our authentication service process:

  • your Google account email address and email-verification status;
  • a temporary OAuth authorization code and PKCE verification values;
  • short-lived access and ID tokens;
  • an opaque refresh-session identifier; and
  • token-expiration and sign-in-state metadata.

We use this information to authenticate you, confirm access to SEOTpreneur features, maintain your signed-in session, authorize requests to SEOTpreneur services, and sign you out. The extension does not collect or store your Google password.

2. TPT page and browsing context

On supported teacherspayteachers.com pages, the extension may process:

  • the active TPT page URL and page type;
  • search terms and autosuggest keywords encountered while you research on TPT;
  • TPT product and store identifiers;
  • search-results counts;
  • product prices and review counts visible on a search-results page; and
  • limited page elements or product-row identifiers needed to display metrics and provide jump links.

This information is used only for the extension’s disclosed TPT research, history, Product Change Log, and Search Analytics features. The extension does not collect or profile your general browsing activity on unrelated websites.

3. Locally stored research information

The extension stores the following research information locally in your browser:

  • Autosuggest Keyword History, including keywords and timestamps;
  • Search Results History, including search terms, TPT search URLs, dates, results counts, price and review summaries, and available search-volume information;
  • Keyword Finder and Today’s Research data, including seed and related keywords, search volume, resource counts or ranges, Opportunity ratings, source/role information, and collection timestamps; and
  • interface settings such as sorting, filtering, panel state, and display preferences.

This locally stored research is not sent to SEOTpreneur. You can remove it using the available extension controls, by clearing the extension’s stored data in Chrome, or by uninstalling the extension.

4. Product Change Log information

When you are signed in and use a full TPT product-edit page, the Product Change Log may create before-and-after snapshots containing:

  • session, store, and product identifiers;
  • product title and description;
  • price, multiple-license price, and bundle-discount price;
  • free-resource, duration, page/slide-count, answer-key, and listing-status values;
  • categories, grade levels, subject areas, tags, and standards;
  • a change note and, when applicable, a buyer-facing revision note and notification choice; and
  • status and change flags indicating whether product files, previews, videos, or thumbnail images are present or changed.

These snapshots are sent over HTTPS to the signed-in user’s SEOTpreneur account so the user can compare versions and review what changed. The Product Change Log does not transmit the actual product, preview, video, or thumbnail files to SEOTpreneur; it transmits status and change indicators for those files.

Product Change Log data is not aggregated, added to a research database, or used for generalized market research.

5. Keyword Finder and Search Analytics information requested from TPT

Keyword Finder and Search Analytics use your active TPT seller session to make same-origin HTTPS requests directly to TPT. To authorize these requests, the extension may temporarily read CSRF or session values from the TPT page, page source, form fields, or relevant TPT cookies.

These TPT authentication values:

  • are used only to make the requested TPT call;
  • are sent only to TPT;
  • are not sent to SEOTpreneur; and
  • are not persistently stored by the extension.

Keyword Finder results may be saved in the local browser cache described above. Product Search Analytics results may include keywords, visits, units sold, conversion rates, and earnings. Search Analytics results are held for display and optional local CSV export and are not sent to SEOTpreneur or persistently stored by the extension.

6. Operational and security information

When the extension communicates with SEOTpreneur authentication or Product Change Log services, our hosting and security providers may automatically process routine request information such as an IP address, request time, requested endpoint, response status, and basic browser or network metadata. We use this information only to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the extension services. We do not use it to build location profiles or for generalized market research.

7. Optional SEOT Brain connection

Connecting SEOT Brain is optional. Existing extension tools work without it. To connect, you must agree to the extension’s privacy disclosure, sign in with Google, accept a separate Brain data disclosure, approve Chrome’s optional permission to communicate with Brain, pair with the Brain app on your computer, and confirm your TPT store.

The extension can then send the following to your paired local Brain:

  • Product-edit snapshots and keyword research.
  • Your verified TPT store name, identifier, and URL.
  • Product Listings data, including product identifiers, titles, prices, and listing details.
  • Temporary download links for Product Stats and Sales reports.
  • Collection progress, safe error codes, and delivery receipts.

When you start Automatic Upload in Brain, the extension uses your active TPT seller session to request Product Stats, Sales reports, and Product Listings. Brain downloads the report files and stores them on your computer. Sales reports may contain transaction and buyer information supplied by TPT.

These Brain reports and research imports are not uploaded to SEOTpreneur’s cloud services or research database. Existing Product Change Log uploads to your signed-in SEOTpreneur account continue separately.

TPT passwords, cookies, and session or CSRF values are not sent to Brain. The extension uses TPT authentication values only for requests directly to TPT. Export links are handled temporarily and are not persistently stored by the extension.

Brain consent, pairing, and product/keyword delivery records are stored locally in Chrome so interrupted deliveries can recover. Collection receipts contain progress information without credentials or signed export links.

You can disconnect Brain or remove its Chrome permission to stop new Brain requests and deliveries. This does not delete data already imported into Brain or existing local delivery records. You can remove extension records by clearing its stored data or uninstalling it. Data already received by Brain is managed or deleted separately in Brain.

How we use extension information

We use extension information only to:

  • provide the extension’s user-facing research, history, authentication, Product Change Log, and Search Analytics features;
  • maintain the user’s signed-in session and account access;
  • secure the extension and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access;
  • troubleshoot errors and maintain service reliability; and
  • comply with applicable law.

We do not use Chrome extension data for generalized market research, community research, advertising, behavioral profiling, or training unrelated products. We do not combine Chrome extension data with separately uploaded Self Serve Data Tool files for research purposes.

When information is shared

We do not sell extension user data.

Information is shared only as necessary to provide or secure the extension:

  • Google: Google OAuth processes sign-in and token revocation. Google’s handling of information is governed by Google’s privacy policies.
  • Teachers Pay Teachers: Keyword Finder and Search Analytics requests, including the necessary TPT session or CSRF values, are sent directly to TPT. TPT’s handling of those requests is governed by TPT’s policies.
  • Service providers: Infrastructure providers, including Cloudflare, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud, process authentication, storage, networking, and Product Change Log data on our behalf under their applicable service agreements.
  • Legal and security purposes: We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to investigate or prevent malware, fraud, abuse, or security threats.
  • Business transaction: Extension user data would be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets only as permitted by applicable law and the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including obtaining prior consent where required.

We do not transfer extension user data to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers. We do not use or transfer it for personalized advertising, creditworthiness, or lending purposes.

Human access to extension user data is restricted. A person may access specific data only with the user’s consent for support, when necessary for security, when required by law, or as otherwise permitted by the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy.

Storage and retention

  • Local research and preferences: Remain in the browser until removed by the user, cleared by the extension’s retention or capacity controls, cleared through Chrome, or removed when the extension is uninstalled.
  • Short-lived authentication data: Temporary OAuth state and access tokens are kept in Chrome session storage and expire or are removed during sign-out.
  • Refresh-session data: The authentication service stores a protected Google refresh token associated with a hashed opaque session identifier. The server record expires after up to 180 days without refresh and is deleted when the extension successfully processes sign-out.
  • Product Change Log: Snapshots remain associated with the user’s SEOTpreneur account while needed to provide the feature and while the applicable account or subscription remains active, unless the user requests earlier deletion. Data may remain briefly in restricted backups or security records before routine deletion completes.
  • Operational logs: Retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, reliability, and legal obligations.

Security

Network requests carrying user data use encrypted HTTPS connections. The optional local Brain connection uses Chrome Native Messaging and Brain’s local pairing controls.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect information using safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity.

Your choices and rights

You may:

  • delete local Keyword History, Search Results History, or Today’s Research using available extension controls;
  • clear the extension’s local data through Chrome;
  • sign out to remove local authentication state and revoke the extension’s refresh session;
  • uninstall the extension;
  • manage or revoke Google account access through your Google Account settings; and
  • request access to or deletion of Product Change Log information associated with your SEOTpreneur account.

To make a privacy or deletion request, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify that the request comes from the account owner.

Children

The extension is intended for TPT sellers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the extension.

Third-party services and affiliation

The extension interacts with Google and Teachers Pay Teachers, which have their own terms and privacy policies. SEOTpreneur and SEOT Mindset Inc. are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Teacher Synergy LLC or Teachers Pay Teachers.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use disclosure

SEOT Mindset Inc.’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

All data handled by the extension is used only to provide or improve the extension’s disclosed single purpose and related security, maintenance, and reliability functions.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the extension’s features, data practices, legal requirements, or Chrome Web Store requirements change. We will update the date above and provide any additional notice or consent required for a material change.
